Second Microgaming BiG Sports Dinner Announced

Online gambling software giant, Microgaming, has reaffirmed its commitment to its PayItForward initiative by agreeing to support the second BiG Sports Dinner in September.

The Microgaming biG Sports Dinner, an initiative by the BiG Foundation which raises money for important charities, will be held at the Dorchester Hotel in London on September 17th, the same place where the inaugural event in 2014 was held.

The first event raised significant funds for a number of UK charities, and was attended by 250 people who mingled, watched shows and enjoyed good company.

The second event will feature Austin Healey as MC, and celebrities expected to attend include Chris Kamara, Harry Redknapp and Jamie Spencer, as well as sporting and non-sporting personalities.

"The success of the event we held in 2014 made it an automatic renewal for The BiG Foundation," said the founding director of BiG, Richard Hogg. "With Microgaming's ongoing support we hope to put on an event, which is remembered for all the right reasons. Having the event in the relatively quiet month of September and the night before the Rugby World Cup kicks off is a real coup for us. I am sure there will be lots of banter throughout the evening which we can use to raise substantial funds for the Foundation."

Microgaming on Social Responsibility

The Isle of Man based Microgaming has been a long-time supporter of corporate social responsibility, with its PlayItForward initiative regularly supporting charities.

The group's chief executive officer, Roger Raatgever said: "We're proud to be working with The BiG Foundation to raise money for such important charities. That's why we set up Microgaming PlayItForward, to show the industry that giving something back is important."

Microgaming has also agreed to sponsor a similar event in Malta, through a Welcome Drinks and Dinner in November.

Raatgever said: "It's fantastic to see the event being extended to Malta; both events are going to be fantastic; and we hope companies get involved and book a table. Don't miss out on what's going to be an unforgettable night."
