New Ambassador for Microgaming PlayItForward

Microgaming's PlayItForward initiative regularly sponsors sports teams, among its many other good causes.

One of these teams is the Microgaming Isle of Man Para Swimming Team, and one member of this team regularly shines through.

Fourteen year old Ben Grainger, a talented swimmer who won five medals (including two golds) in the 2014 National Para Swimming Championships, has now become the newest Ambassador for Microgaming's PlayItForward initiative.

Ben joins other representatives of Microgaming's Ambassador Program such as triathlete Joseph Ricciardi and swimmer Laura Kinley. All these ambassadors have competed in their respective sports thanks to the generosity of Microgaming's initiative. The Isle of Man based online casino software provider takes the idea of corporate responsibility to a new level.

Microgaming Welcomes Newest Ambassador

The Head of Microgaming PlayItForward, Claire Coleman was on hand to welcome Ben Grainger to the Ambassador program, saying he was "the perfect role model for Microgaming and PlayItForward."

"Having worked with the Isle of Man Para Swimming Team for a number of years now, we have witnessed first-hand what an inspiration Ben is to people," said Coleman. "Working tirelessly to improve his times whenever he competes, he is determined to succeed, and we have high hopes for him as he aims for the biggest stage of them all, the 2020 Paralympics!"

Rising Para Athlete Star

In 2015, Ben Grainger won three gold medals and two silver medals in the 2015 British Disability Championships at the age of just 12.

A year later, he was chosen to join the British Swimming Para Academy where he forms part of a program with around 50 top athletes training to take part in the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics.

Grainger continues to work hard, taking part in international competitions, such as the British Para Swimming International, where he completed his races with new personal best times.
