Microgaming Charity Golf Day Raises Thousands

Microgaming's charity initiative, PlayItForward recently helped raise thousands of Euros for needy children on the Isle of Man.  The online casino group helped sponsor and organize the annual Charity Golf Day at the Castletown Golf Club on the island. €8,006 was raised for the local Children's Centre.

21 teams from local businesses on the Isle of Man teamed up to complete 18 holes and be among the top teams to finish. SMP 2's team landed up the winners with 116 points. Old Mutual International came second (115 points) and SMP 1 came third.

Microgaming's organizers added some great action during the competition, such as the inclusion of a 'wild ball' which awarded double points.

Other teams that took part came from Simcocks, Robinsons, GVC, KPMG, Knox Capital Solutions, Barclays and more.

Microgaming Raises Money for Charity

Microgaming covered all the costs of the event, while prizes were donated a number of other companies, such as wine and a custom-made putter.

An impressive €8,006 was raised from entry fees and wild ball penalties for the Children's Centre.

"This is now the third year we've organized a Charity Golf Day and it was another fun and successful event!" said the head of Microgaming's PlayItForward, Claire Coleman. "And most importantly it's raised over £8,000 for a very important local charity. A big thank you to everyone who took part, to those companies that donated prizes and to all the Microgaming volunteers."
