Microgaming Casino Extends Football Sponsorship

The Microgaming powered 32Red online casino has announced that it has extended its shirt sponsorship deal with the Rangers football club.

32Red Casino has already been a sponsor of the Scottish Premiership football club for three years and has agreed to another two years as its official shirt sponsor.

Under the new deal, 32Red will sponsor the Rangers from the 2017 - 2018 season, ending with the 2018 - 2019 campaign.

The Glasgow based football club's home ground is Ibrox Stadium. The club is one of Scotland's oldest, and was founded in 1872. The Rangers are one of the 11 original members of the Scottish Football League.

32Red to Benefit from Deal

32Red Casino will obviously benefit from the extended sponsorship deal, with its logo to be displayed on the front of the football club's playing jerseys.

Branding opportunities will also be enjoyed by the casino, especially across the Rangers' digital and media platforms, as well as at the Ibrox home stadium.

"We have enjoyed three fantastic years as the official club sponsor of Rangers and we are thrilled to confirm a further two-year agreement that will see the 32Red brand feature on the front of the players shirts," noted the chief commercial officer of 32Red, Matt Booth.

32Red Acquisition Deal Approved

In the meantime, earlier this month, the UK Gambling Commission announced that it approved the acquisition of the London listed 32Red Plc by the Kindred Group.

Kindred acquired 97% of 32Red's shares in a deal with a price tag of just over €200 million.

Kindred, once known as the Unibet Group, is one of Europe's leading gambling providers and bought other igaming companies such as Stan James and iGame in 2015.

At the time of the sale, the chief executive of 32Red, Ed Ware said that the company had consistently and profitably grown 32Red's market share in the regulated markets of the UK and Italy.

"The management team at Kindred have a similar business philosophy to our own and we look forward to joining forces with Kindred and continuing our successful growth within the Kindred Group," he said.
