Microgaming Releases Super Sumo Slot

The Swedish based online casino software provider, Fantasma Games, teamed up with Microgaming recently to roll out a new slot game.

Super Sumo Slot went live at selected Microgaming casinos this week through the Quickfire platform, and can be played on PCs, laptops, mobiles and tablets.

The 5 reel, 25 pay line Super Sumo slot is themed on Japanese sumo wrestling. The game has been designed in cartoon style and features several wrestlers on the reels - each one easily distinguished by the emotion written all over his face, be it anger, sadness, fear or disgust.

The happy sumo is the wild symbol and plays an important role to bring rewards to players.

Super Sumo Slot Bonus Features

By landing two or more wild symbols on the reels, you will activate the Happy Wilds Sticky Respin feature.

This means that the wild symbols turn sticky and a free respin is awarded.  These continue appearing until there are no more new wild symbols on the reels.

When the Super Sumo scatter symbol appears simultaneously on reels 1, 3 and 5, this will trigger 10 free spins. When the smiling wild sumo tumbles his way onto the reels during the free games, he turns one reel completely wild for more rewards.

Fantasma/Microgaming Collaboration

It took Fantasma, in collaboration with Microgaming, eight months to create Super Sumo slot, and there are already rumors regarding the launch of another slot in this genre, namely Samurai Ken.

An interview with Fantasma founder Fredrik Johansson revealed that the executive was pleased to be collaborating with Microgaming due to the Isle of Man based software group's decades of experience in the igaming business.

Fantasma is aware that collaborating with Microgaming has benefited other companies in the past, including Just for the Win, and the creators of the legendary Castle Builders slot, Rabcat.

Johansson described Fantasma games as "cutting edge graphic work".

"When you see a game from Fantasma Games, you will quickly recognize the look and feel of the game," he said.
