Microgaming Moves into New HQ

The online casino software group, Microgaming, announced that it has finally opened its new purpose-built headquarters for business.

The new building, called Sixty Two, was constructed adjacent to Microgaming's current home in Douglas on the Isle of Man, and the two are linked with a specially designed sky bridge.

Two years ago, Microgaming announced that it would be creating a new campus for some of its company's employees due to continued expansion and growth of the brand.

The new 5-storey building can now house 100 employees (out of the 231 employed by the group on the Isle of Man) and boasts unique features such as 'green' building, a 360 degree view of Douglas, a welcoming reception room and smart lighting.

Sixty Two was clearly designed and built with Microgaming's employees in mind.

The fourth floor of the building is a giant communal area, featuring a canteen, coffee shop, pool tables, poker table, library and darts board.  There is also an in-house gym, a studio that hosts fitness classes and even a treatment room.

Most importantly, the building has a beautiful rooftop garden that affords incredible views of the island.

"Following a number of years of hard work and commitment, it's incredibly satisfying to see Sixty Two open," said the CFO of Microgaming, John Colman. "A lot of time was spent understanding the needs and wants of our employees so that a building could be designed specifically with them in mind. All involved, including staff and suppliers, should be incredibly proud of what they have achieved - I can't thank them enough."

The Growth of Microgaming

The chief executive officer of Microgaming, Roger Raatgever noted that it was quite incredible to think that when the group set up on the island in 2001, there were just six staff members.

"Now we are a campus in the heart of Douglas, with two large offices, and best of all they are connected by a sky bridge which was a must for me!" he said. "It's an exciting new chapter for Microgaming and I'm immensely proud of what we achieved in our home."
